This is our story
We are Ninfer y Carlos, Kokomi S.A.S. co-funders, and this is our story.
In 2019, the pandemic changed the way languages are learned
Educational institutions and teachers have had to adapt to online teaching. This has led to the creation of new language learning strategies and educational approaches.
We decided to start Kokomi by the end of 2022
Our objective is to offer a profesional, essential, easy to access and low cost tool to learn a new language.
We developed and launched Kokomi by the end of 2022
We discovered the obstacles and needs students have when learning a new language. Leveraging this knowledge, we launched the first version of Kokomi focusing in Japanese.
We found the gate to new dimensions
In June 2023, Ernesto Cappa joined us as our growth leader. Under his guidance, we expanded our presence on social media, improved our user's experience and the development of our social functions
We launched Taikai-senpai, taking into account the different learning styles of our students
In August 2023, we launched Taikai-senpai. Taikai is composed of squads. Depending on your squad, you will have teammates and a compatible Senpai who will guide you on this language learning adventure.
We expanded the reach of our platform
With the recent incorporations of our team, we have expanded our services to improve the assistance we provide to our students and companies in South America. Currently, we have reached 10 countries.
In October 2023, we began to expand our frontiers with new languages
Edgar Fiscó joined our team as our academic leader. Edgar is a polyglot. He speaks Spanish, English, Japanese and Portuguese. His main objective is to perfect our teaching method to help our students experience a more efficient and effective process to learn a new language.
In November 2023, we launched our certification test
We have evolved as a platform, not only in technology but in academic content as well. Thanks to this, we have incorporated language level certifications as a way to take advantage of academic and working opportunities
Today, Kokomi is an integral application to learn languages, centered in a global community
Despite the challenges and changing needs of our students, we have evolved and kept a mentality of constant development to offer the best posible solution, helping our students reach their goals in the language they are studying
